A simpler, safer way for nearby families to find playdates for kids of similar ages.
Why we built it
Finding playmates for your kids shouldn’t mean trawling group chats, posting in giant city-wide forums, or hoping someone replies. Most parents just want to know: which families near me have kids around my kids’ ages, and where can we all meet up?
PlayDate answers exactly that. We match families by neighborhood and by age range, then make it easy to find or host a meetup at a local playground. Everything is public to your neighborhood, so plans stay open, simple, and accountable.
We’re launching one city at a time on purpose. Our pilot is Denver, Colorado - 52 real neighborhoods and 84 playgrounds seeded straight from the city’s open data, with amenities like shade, restrooms, splash pads, and toddler areas. Each community starts with real, verified families and local moderators, so the very first playdate feels as safe and friendly as the hundredth.
When you sign up, we match your home address to the Denver neighborhoods you live in - you can belong to more than one, and add or leave them anytime. Don’t live in Denver yet? You can still request your area, and we’ll let you know when PlayDate reaches you.

Kid-privacy by design
Children are never their own account. We store a first name and an age range - no birthdates, no last names, no required photos. Matching uses age ranges only.
